Solar Inverter
It is a electrical
energy converter that changes direct current of input into alternating current
at the output.
Types of solar inverter
Current control
inverter
- It is an inverter in which output electric current having a specific sinusoidal waveform produced by pulse width modulation control or any other control system.
Current stiff
inverter
- It is an inverter in which smooth DC input electric current.
Grid connected
inverter
- Inverter which is able to operated in parallel with the distribution or transmission system of an electrical supply utility.
- It is also known as grid tied inverter or grid intertie.
Grid interactive
inverter
- Inverter which is able to operate in both stand alone and parallel modes

- Inverter which is integrated to the output of a single PV module
Non – islanding inverter
- Inverter which stops to energize an electrical distribution system during abnormal operating specifications for voltage and / or frequency.
Standalone
inverter
- Inverter which supplies a load not connected to the distribution system or transmission system of an electrical supply utility.
- It is also known as battery powered inverter.
String inverter
- Inverter which is designed to operated with a single PV string
Transformer less inverter
- Inverter without any isolation transformer
Voltage control
inverter
- It is an inverter in which output electric voltage having a specific sinusoidal waveform produced by pulse width modulation control or any other control system.
