ACS - ARR Gap And AT & C Losses

The Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana ( UDAY ) is launched by Ministry of Power, Government of India which was approved by cabinet on 5th November, 2015.

  • Coal price rationalization

  • Priority funding provided by Deen Dayal Upadyay Gram Jyoti Yojana ( DDUGJY), Integrated Power Development Scheme ( IPDS ) etc.

ACS – ARR gap 

  • The term ACS means average cost of supply per unit of power and ARR means average revenue realized. 
  • The Government has taken various steps to minimize the difference between ACS – ARR. The gap between ACS – ARR should be as minimum as possible.
  • The Mizoram, Nagaland, Andaman Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep yet do not join the UDAY.
